What are the signs that I need to visit a dental clinic?
In general, you are advised to visit the dental clinic every six months, even if you’re not experiencing any signs of pain or dental issues. However, you should schedule a dental visit immediately if you notice any of the following signs:
- Persistent tooth pain or sensitivity
- Bleeding or swollen gums
- Constant bad breath
- Chipped, cracked, stained, or shifting teeth
These symptoms should not be ignored, and early treatment helps prevent more serious dental problems.
How often should I visit the dental clinic for a check-up?
We recommend visiting the dental clinic for a checkup every six months. This frequency may vary based on your individual dental health condition. Our team can help you determine the best schedule for you and your family during your first visit.
Do you treat children at your clinic?
Yes, we welcome children at our family dentistry clinic Le by An Dental. We understand that going for a dental visit may be a daunting experience for children, which is why we try our best to ensure a calming AND FUN dental experience to reduce dental fear and anxiety!
Are walk-in patients accepted, or is it by appointment only?
We welcome walk-in patients when our schedule allows, but we highly recommend making an appointment ahead of time to ensure you receive dedicated time with our dentist and minimal waiting. Can I pay with Medisave or get subsidies/insurance?
Medisave is claimable for most dental surgeries at our clinic. For patients covered by Integrated Shield plans with riders for private hospital care: we can also assist you in getting a Letter of Guarantee (LOG) or Pre-Authorisation Certificates for seamless cashless payment during your procedure. We also collaborate with some insurance companies, hospitals or surgical centres to electronically process your medical claims. Please contact us for more information.
What should I bring for my first dental visit?
For your first dental visit, bring your identification and insurance card (if any). If you have previous dental records or X-rays, be sure to bring them as well. It is also helpful to prepare a list of any questions you have or concerns about your dental health for your dentist. Our staff will also brief you on what to bring once we have set a date for your appointment.
Can I switch dentists mid-treatment, especially for braces?
If you decide to switch dentists mid-treatment for braces or any other treatment, discuss your decision and concerns with your current orthodontist. They can assist in providing your treatment records for a smoother transition so your progress continues without interruption.
