The Invisalign system starts with a thorough assessment by a dentist or orthodontist to understand your current oral condition, concerns and desired results. This consultation also helps your dentist or orthodontist assess your suitability for Invisalign.

A 3D model of your teeth is then created using a specialised software, allowing your dentist to craft a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs, and to explain the improvements you can expect during the various stages of your treatment. This digital model is also used to physically produce a series of custom-made aligners designed to fit snugly and comfortably over your teeth.

Over time, with consistent use of the aligners, Invisalign gradually and gently shifts your teeth into the desired position with controlled force. Patients are advised to wear their Invisalign aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day.

Your progress is monitored every 6 - 8 weeks and you’ll be required to switch to a new set of aligners every 2 weeks, with each new set bringing your teeth closer to their final position. This is unlike conventional braces, where the orthodontist needs to manually adjust the wires and brackets.
